Users of Makita 18V Lithium-Ion cordless tools will benefit from the Rapid Optimum Charger. For speedier charging, the battery's built-in fan cools the battery (available separately) by blowing air through the battery's air vents throughout the charging process. Throughout the charging process, the charger connects with the battery's built-in chip to improve battery life by actively managing current, voltage, and temperature.
